Flowers and Scrapbooking

I love to use flowers on my scrapbooking pages. They are one of my favourite embellishments to use. There is a huge range of flowers on the scrapbooking market and I love to go shopping for them. You can buy so many different types, colours and size flowers. You can buy flowers or you can make your own.

They can be made from paper and all sorts of material. They can be black, pink, white or any other colour you can think off. I like to have some white flowers on hand so I can colour them myself. That way I can use them on any page as I can choose what colour to paint or dye them. The flowers can be plain or patterned, they can be one colour or multi coloured.

You can make your own flowers if you have the time. You can do this a few different ways. One way is just to draw a flower on card and cut it out. Another way to make a flower is to get some torn bits of fabric strips and arrange them in a way that looks like a flower and stick them to your page. You can then use a bit of green torn fabric and use that as a stem for your flowers. For the middle of the flower you could use a button or brad or a bit of glitter glue.

Another simple idea for flowers is to buy a flower punch and punch flowers out of your favourite card or paper. Punches aren’t too expensive and can be used over and over again so it is a cheap way to make flowers for your scrapbooking pages and to make lots of them.

Have fun using flowers on your scrapbooking pages!
